About Me

Born in the UK, I moved from West Yorkshire to the South of France when I was 7 years old. I grew up fully immersed in both French and English, and have ten years of experience in providing language services.

My education was fully international: a Literary Baccalauréat (Option Internationale), a BA in English Literature and Italian at the University of Leeds, followed by a double Master’s degree in Translation shared between the universities of Toulouse and Genoa.

During my studies, I spent two immersive years in Italy, one in the Southern region of Apulia and one in the North, giving me a mastery over the language and a clear picture of Italian culture.

My professional life has also been defined by languages. I’ve been teaching English for over ten years and have six years experience in translation . Based just outside Toulouse, I recently acquired dual nationality in France, confirming my bilingual and bicultural identity.

In my translation and proofreading work, my fields reflect my interests: food, wine, travel and the arts. I’m never without a novel and a notebook, as I never stop reading and writing!
